The 2nd grade annual "Hoe Down" was held at the City Park on October 3rd, 2008. The children learned many new calls such as Grand Right on Left, Grand Square and Weave The Ring. Central Elementary Site Council and PTO will meet on Monday, November 17. The Site Council will meet from 5:30-6:30 in the gym and PTO will meet at 6:30 in the library. There will be two USD 320 Board of Education members at the Site Council meeting to discuss the facilities issue. Please feel free to join us.

West Elementary fourth and fifth graders traveled to Emporia, Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 4 to participate in the William Allen White Awards Celebration.  We received the Attendance Award for the most attendees--86 including parents and students. more..

Children's Christmas Gift Box Project

The FCCLA chapter at Wamego High School is conducting a community service project to distribute gift boxes to children in Wamego through the Community Health Ministries. The WHS FCCLA Chapter is accepting the following items to distribute:

Toys (new or in good condition, used toys), books, crayons or markers, puzzles or other board games, personal items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, hats, gloves, mittens, play jewelry, etc.)

Donations of wrapping paper, clear tape and empty shoe boxes are also being accepted.  If you would like to donate to this project please contact Mrs. Tammy Biswell at 456-2214, ext. 5120 or at biswellt@usd320.com
